An opportunity has arisen for a Relationship Manager to join our London based Property Portfolio Management Team. The role will involve overseeing and monitoring the provision of the Property Management, Facilities Management and Accounting services under the contract with key suppliers to the M&G Real Estate business and funds, both in the UK and overseas.
Acting as Relationship Manager for a portfolio of external Property Management and Facilities Management suppliers to M&G Real Estate, with activities encompassing performance management, procurement, contract management, compliance and reporting.
Monitoring the service levels and key performance indicators
Responsible for the status reports and updates to senior management and board level as regards the performance of the service providers, (including where recommendations to trigger penalty measures on the service provider is required)
Providing a senior escalation point for M&G Real Estate business on matters of service performance, questions and complaints
Managing issues from the Service Providers and representing those issues back into the M&G Real Estate organisation
Pro-actively building the relationship ties to ensure a successful partnership
Identifying opportunities to strengthen the service relationship
Pro-active involvement in all change management involving the Service Providers
Monitoring the provision of fees and ad hoc charges from the Service Providers and signing off to costs before payment is released
Establish a close and effective working relationship with the other members of the Portfolio Management team.

To understand the Health and Safety responsibilities appropriate for your role and ensure that they are undertaken in accordance with the relevant company policies, procedures and guidelines. This includes responsibilities relating to your own H&S and others affected by your actions. Any concerns relating to H&S risks must be escalated to your line Manager and the Company’s H&S Manager.
To understand the Company’s Sustainability vision and apply the Sustainability Strategy as appropriate for your role.
Fulfil regulatory requirements, including timely completion of all regulatory training and declarations.
You will have:
Real Estate professional with background in property and facilities management. RICS or similar qualification preferred
Comprehensive understanding of Property and Facilities Management and the mechanics of the real estate management process
Experience of supplier relationship management within the context of 3rd party property and facilities management firms desirable but not essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident communicating to senior management
Excellent report writing skills
A passion for building relationships within the Supplier Management arena
