The Alternative Asset Operations team are responsible for the administration of a wide range of Fixed & Floating Interest investments on behalf of its internal and external clients. This role is supporting Fixed Income Front Office with the settlement and administration of Leverage Loans and Private Debt. Please note, this is a FTC Maternity Cover role.
The key responsibilities of this position are to work within a team which is responsible for the processing, instructing, settlement and on-going monitoring of Leveraged Loans and Private Debt transactions.
The individual will be responsible for:
• Instructing and settlement of Leveraged Loan and Private Debt trades
• Monitoring of income, capital repayments, break costs, Lender of Record Payments, Commitment fees, Consent/Waiver Fees, adhoc payments and advising internal / external parties of the amounts due. • Reviewing Loan Documentation, processing the day to day activity within the Alternative Asset Operations department and within departmental guidelines. • Working closely with the Team Leader and Manager to provide on-going improvement of the daily functions. • Daily processing of Rollovers, rate fixings, drawdowns and all aspects of the loans processing area within departmental guidelines. • Review and clearing of any cash/stock breaks within designated timescales. • To respond to both Internal and External queries in a timely manner. • Maintenance of internal Alternative Asset Operations systems and assisting in the further development of said systems • Reconciliation and reporting of internal systems to counterparty and TPA records. • Updating of internal procedures. • Daily liaisons with the Front Office to address and resolve problems with underlying assets. • Build relationships with agents, counterparts and the Front Office.
You will have:
Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Minimum of 2 years experience within leveraged loans and/or Private Debt
Payments knowledge (swift)
Ability to work to strict deadlines.
An effective team worker.
An open/effective communication style.
Excellent planning and organising skills.
Excellent IT Skills of Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel.
The ability to work under pressure from both internal and external clients.
Must be able to “hit the ground running” in a high pressured environment.
The ability and willingness to put in added time and effort in times of busy periods.
Working Knowledge of WSO (Wall Street Office)
Basic Loan Documentation Knowledge.
