M&GPrudential is in the middle of an exciting and challenging journey towards becoming an independent company, with huge ambition and international growth at its core. The Technology team underpins almost every element of MGP’s strategic direction through its support of the transformation agenda and providing a stable foundation for the business.
Not only do we advise, implement and support excellent technical platforms, we also work hard with our business partners to drive the transformation of our organisation to meet our customers’ expectations of speed, information and value for money.
Our industry is not standing still, and neither are we; digital disruption is a huge opportunity and it is an incredible time to work in financial technology.
What is the Technology Internship Scheme?
The scheme consists of an 8 week immersive dive into the technology world of our business including business lead insight sessions to provide a wide base of exposure within the company in both investment and technology. Each intern will be allocated a buddy from our graduate cohort who will provide informal support and promote integration with our M&GPrudential family. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend networking and social events which are essential for promoting the work life balance encouraged.
What will you do?
Global Distribution IT team: We partner with our sales, marketing and service teams, working with our business to become a digitally enabled organisation. Our ‘product owners’ need us to be flexible and nimble. The skills we bring are change management and technology development with recent projects including the creation of a chat bot which saves our internal sales teams a great deal of time, reworking an entire section of our databases and APIs, and working with external designers and front-end developers to upgrade our websites’ content management system and improve our customers’ website experiences.
Enterprise Security IT team: We employ a range of technologies, processes and practices to protect equipment, data and networks from attack, damage and unauthorised access. Our core pillars within Enterprise Security include, Security Risk & Governance, Security Operations, Identity and Access Management, Data Security and Security Culture & Skills. Our aim is to support the ambitions of the business and innovate and achieve a consistent good standard across all security disciplines.
